Honoring those who served. Standing with the families they left behind.

When a Hero falls, a family should never stand alone.

The Lucky Foundation provides direct financial assistance and educational scholarships to the families of fallen and seriously injured Military and First Responders.

Who We Are

The Mission

The Lucky Foundation raises money for the families of the fallen or seriously injured Military and First Responders, as well as funds towards scholarships for the children of those Heroes. At our events, adventure enthusiasts from all around the country set out on guided expeditions exploring this beautiful country we call Home.

Since 2021, The Lucky Foundation continues to evolve. The Lucky Foundation strives to be a leading organization in diversity, equity, and inclusion. We seek to create a culture where volunteers and constituents are empowered to share their voices and perspectives to create an environment of inclusion, growth, positivity, belonging and change. This culture is embraced by all parts of the Foundation.

What We Do

Direct Financial Assistance

When the worst happens, the bills do not wait. We deliver direct financial relief to families of fallen and seriously injured Military and First Responders, so they can grieve, heal and hold their family together without a financial crisis on top of their loss.

Educational Scholarships

We fund scholarships for the children of Heroes. A parent's sacrifice should open doors for their children, not close them. We help the next generation reach the future their parent dreamed for them.

Adventure Expeditions

Our guided adventure expeditions are how we fund this work. Supporters take on the trail, the climb and the open country, and every mile raises real support for these families.

A Total Force Approach

Who We Serve

We wrap our support around the whole family and the community that holds them.

Active Duty Military Families

Families of active duty service members killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.

First Responder Families

Families of law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel who fell or were seriously injured serving their communities.

The Backbone

The spouses, parents and children left behind. They carry the loss every day. They carry our full attention.

The Support Network

The neighbors, friends and communities who surround these families. When they step up, we help them turn care into action.

Recognition and Transparency

We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of every supporter. Full accountability for every dollar.
