OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
Education is a pathway to opportunity and independence. The Lucky Foundation believes that the children of fallen and seriously injured Military and First Responders deserve access to quality education and the support they need to achieve their dreams.
Our scholarship programs are designed to ease the financial burden on families and empower young people to pursue their educational goals without limitation. All scholarships are $500 awards.
TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The Valor Scholar Award
For academically inclined students with a strong commitment to community service and involvement in organizations related to veterans or first responders.

Minimum 3.5 GPA, children of fallen military and first responders

Proof of academic achievements, record of community service
The Star of Service: Performing Arts and Athletics Scholarship
Supporting individuals who excel in performing arts or athletics and demonstrate commitment to community engagement through their talents.

Children of fallen military and first responders with exceptional talent
Requirements
Portfolio or references attesting to talent, community engagement evidence
Empowered Women's Leadership Scholarship
Empowering young women with proven leadership track records and aspirations to make a difference.

Young women, children of fallen military and first responders
Requirements
Proven leadership experience, personal statement on leadership aspirations
Bridge to Success: Needs-Based Scholarship
Supporting students who have demonstrated significant financial need and are committed to their education.

Requirements
FAFSA report or income statement, personal statement on financial circumstances
Bright Futures Scholarship for Students with Learning Disabilities
Dedicated to students who have overcome learning disabilities and demonstrated determination to succeed academically.

Students who have overcome learning disabilities
Requirements
IEP or letter from qualified professional, personal statement on overcoming challenges
WHO CAN APPLY?
To be eligible for The Lucky Foundation scholarship programs, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be the child of a fallen or seriously injured Military or First Responder
- Be a dependent or loved one of military personnel or contractors supporting deployed forces
- Be a dependent or loved one of First Responders (Police, Fire, Paramedics)
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or vocational program
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress

Write a letter or create a video highlighting your accomplishments, goals, and how you embody TLF values: inclusivity, community, accountability, agility, and integrity.
Submit Your Application
Submit your completed application form, supporting documents, and letter/video through the dedicated scholarship form below.
Application Review
Our scholarship committee reviews all applications based on the specific criteria for each program.
