Financial Literacy Educator

The Lucky Foundation, a 5013c3 Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation governed by adventure enthusiasts who are driven towards sourcing scholarships to empower the youth of fallen United States Military and First Responders, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic Advisory Board Committee.

 

The Lucky Foundation is seeking a seasoned Financial Literacy Educator to join our Advisory Committee with the Education and Scholarship Program Sector. The Financial Literacy Educator will be part of the Leadership Committee of the Advisory Board of Directors, a position which comes with more responsibilities than joining as a member. The Financial Literacy Educator position will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership.

 

Responsibilities: 

In collaboration with advisory committee, the successful candidate should expect to contribute to the following:

  • Coordinate and deliver the following coursework which is readily available for presentation virtually:

o    Foundation in Personal Finance

o    Foundation in Entrepreneurship

  • Serve as a Lucky Foundation liaison; cultivate and maintain relationships with university partners.

  • Analyze program outcomes and prepare reports.

  • Plan and coordinate (working cross functionally with The Lucky Foundation’s Marketing sector) for educational programs and services.

  • Identify, recruit, train, and supervise instructional program student personnel.

  • All other duties and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications:


This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education and/or experience in consumer finance, education, social work, or counseling is preferred. Additional qualifications include:

 

·         Strong communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.

·         Experience presenting to small and large groups virtually.

·         Ability to be innovative and adaptable.

·         Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

·         Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on tasks.
